Sham Savers Barfi(doda)

Made from milk ,Dalia and nuts.traces its origins to Punjab.

Ingredients: 1 ltr.full cream milk
                       25 gm.Dalia (cracked wheat)
                       2-3 tbsp.cocoa powder
                       1/2 bowl sugar
                        3-4 tbsp.chopped almonds
                       3-4 tbsp ghee
                       1/2 bowl glucose balls

Method:
1.In a wok roast the Dalia in two tbsp.of ghee over low heat,till it turns brown,set aside.
2.In a heavy bottom wok ,over medium heat the milk.
3.Boil till thickness. Add roasted Dalia and sugar mix well.
4.Keep cooking for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, scraping the sides.
5.add cocoa powder, mix well.
6.Now add 1 tbsp ghee,chopped almonds and mix well.
7.Stir continuesly till mixture has become like soft dough and start leaving the sides of the wok.
8.Transfer this mixture on a greased plate/trey.
9.Sprinkle glucose balls on the mixture and lightly press them in.
10.While mixture is still warm,cut them in your choice shapes.
